I am a young woman who is seeking to follow the Lord in each changing season of my life and grow in my love for Him. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian family and by God's miraculous grace I accepted Christ as a child, but this relationship matured and deepened the most through my mid teens. My husband and I met at our church and became interested in each other while I was still in high school, and he in college. We had a couple of challenging years waiting for the right timing, and then we were delighted to enter into courtship together and then engagement in 2002. On June 21, 2003 we were married and a little over a year later we welcomed our baby boy into the world September 2004. Our sweet daughter, Savannah, was born in January 2007. Not long after Savannah was born, we realized Wesley has autism, but thanks to a combination of biomedical treatment and therapy he is doing very well and most people don't notice (we do, of course). In the spring of 2008 we moved north of Charlotte, NC to the Mooresville/Davidson/Kannapolis area to participate in a Sovereign Grace Ministries church plant with a wonderful group of about 150 others. Unfortunately, that didn't quite go as planned and now we are trying to figure out what church God is calling us to now. Eva Claire was born in April 2009, and has been such a joy to our family. We have learned that often life doesn't play out exactly how we might envision, but God is faithful through every twist and turn.

I use this journal to keep friends updated, and am not currently adding new readers unless I already know you.

Here is a sweet, fragrant mouth to kiss; here are two feet to make music with their pattering about our home. Here is a soul to train for God, and the body in which it dwells is worth all it will cost, since it is the abode of a kingly tenant. I may see less of friends, but I have gained one dearer than them all, to whom, while I minister in Christ’s name, I make a willing sacrifice of what little leisure for my own recreation my other darlings had left me. Yes, my precious baby, you are welcome to your mother’s heart, welcome to her time, her strength, her health, her most tender cares, to her lifelong prayers! Oh, how rich I am, how truly, wondrously blest!
